The pretty fabric was gifted to my daughter by my good friend Laurel, a bookbinder who lives in Paris now, when she was visiting New York last month.
It was really nice to see her & her boyfriend. Even after a few years of blankness, I still felt like I just saw her yesterday. She is that kind of person; honest, observant, witty, and very good at telling a story. When it comes from her mouth, the most ordinary moment in your life somehow turns extraordinary. I call it the Laurel magic.
Hope you like what I did with the fabric, Laurel! |
